My first experience with photography was in high school. I really can’t remember why I took this subject but for whatever reason, I loved it. Developing my own film was the beginning of my passion for photography which led to the desire to own my own film SLR camera, & now many years later the need to develop my skills into something more meaningful. I recently enrolled in an online Photography course which will assist me in gaining knowledge, skills & experience towards a career involving photography.
I am a 40 year old wife, & mother of 2 young children, with a passion for photography, travel & cooking. After leaving school I spent four years in the Navy as a steward with the promise of changing to photography which never eventuated. Upon discharge I travelled the world for 12 months.
I spend many hours taking photos and am always captivated by the art form involved in each shot. I may not always take the perfect photo but this process encourages me to take better photographs. I have learnt & experienced so much through travel which has helped me appreciate the simple things.
My ambition is to be employed by a magazine as a food and/or travel photographer.
