My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Australia | Sunday, October 17, 2010 | 5 photos

Hello, the photographs I have submitted for this year's World Nomads competition are of Tidbinbilla Nature Park and nearby surrounding areas, where I work building tracks and rock walls and planting trees.
When I am working, I often come across interesting insects, animals and other beautiful creations of nature. I have not had much formal training in photography, but since developing a love for it I have striven to achieve the most aesthetically interesting and pleasing photograph I can. I try to show people things that they may not generally appreciate or notice in their surroundings, and photographs give people the opportunity to really do that.

I am really willing to learn and take any opportunity to take more photographs. I aspire to one day study photography at University so I can possibly translate my love for and hopefully, my talent into a career. In the meantime, I want to learn and achieve as much as I possibly can with my photographs, through travel, books, other photographers and through hands on experience.

About nicolette

The gathering of many water droplets on a baby gum tree leaf. The tree barely reached my waist, but its vivid colouring caught my eye on this particular morning.
