I'm a visual arts student studying at Southern Cross University with a passion for travelling and the aesthetics in life.
I recently combined my love for creating images with my holiday to Ko Phi Phi, an Island of Thailand.
Ko Phi Phi is an island full of suprises, holding a completly different atmosphere to the other tourist locations in Thailand. The people are eco friendly, kind, and hold the opinion that if you don't want to buy it they won't try to sell it.
These photo's were taken upon a pirate ship party cruise, on the main stretch of beach, and on an elephant ride safari.
They were chosen for their diversity in not only subject matter but also show a large experimentation of settings and functions. They are linked through their relaxed atmosphere, tropical setting and high points during my trip.
I feel I would benefit from this competition as South Africa holds such beauty that hasn't been destroyed by tourism, as well as hosting some of the worlds greatest animals. I am intrigued at the possibility of witnessing these animals first hand.
I want to continue to travel and photographing what I see is extremely important to me. I have much to learn and would be 100% dedicated to this project not only for the experience, but to improve my own photography for years to come.
