My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Photography is my calling, but my profession is a Communications Lead at a large Supermarket Retailer. Photography keeps me sane and smiling in my free time. You'll always see me with a camera in my hand capturing memories for a lifetime, grasping the moments that are beautiful and enduring.

I believe in taking the right photo at the right time, without having to sit on a computer and editing your images for hours on end. I want the community to be able to look at my photographs and be amazed and believe this is the true place they may see one day. So to work alongside Jason Edwards in Oman would be an awesome learning curve and truly amazing experience to up-skill myself to get to this place. Taking photos of wildlife and natural history is what i love best - it tells a story of every place you visit.

I have put myself through a few short courses, traveled to other countries when i can and try get in as much practice with trips around my own beautiful country – Australia. I believe I need some assistance with heading in the right direction in my photography, and maybe one day my dream will be fulfilled with an opportunity like the National Geographic Scholarship.
