Just to let you know that i now have photos. however, no access to internet, so will upload them within an hour.
On the french: they're not very good looking. Half of them don't dress very well. Their faces are very pointy, and rather gaunt. Shades of grey swim across their faces - no rosy cheeks for the french! Of course, this is a comment on women, but applies to men too.
It appears la joie de vivre is more of an aspiration than a state-of-face.
