10th Dec: Just before bed

i was thinking that i would make  GREAT parisienne. My skin here is the best that it has been in a long time. The problems with my feet? Gone, despite spending most of the day every day standing up. The skin on my face? Blemish-free, i usually only get a pimple every now and then, but they have been notably absent.

Also, in Melbourne i don't usually feel 100% comfortable wearing all-black. Here, i do. Since my wardrobe is predominantly black, this is a very good thing.

Also i LOVE the weather here. I love the cold - as long as my heater is working. It's fantastic. Plus, no water restrictions.

But then there's the parisien rude attitude, more stressed and dark mode de vivre, dirty city that once you've seen the beautiful boulevard fifty million times it looses its appeal, and then there's beautiful relaxed grounded multi-cultural Melbourne, my heart, and i don't think i could ever live in Paris permanently.

Unless maybe i married one of the haute bourgeoisie who live in paradise... i could be a lady of leisure i think.. he he he...

In all seriousness, melbourne is my home and i think it's the best city in the world. I'm just in a Positive!Paris mood. Will change next time i walk 3 blocks in the pouring rain without an umbrella to find that Ben and Jerries is closed. Quelle scandale!

Gros bisous a tous.

bonjour ma niece, don't sell yourself short. You are doing a great job and will get that presentation done with ease!! In books I've read, people say french service is rude no matter what or who you are. They are even rude to their own. Fear not, you can practise on the locals when you get home. Weather cooler here thank heaven. School finishes after 8 more working days. Too far away it seems. Take care Gros bises
