Follow the Leader. The donkeys do most of the hard work, this section of the road is one of the steepest in Lesotho and he is following his owner on a horse.

Doing Chores. The women don’t have running water or washing machines to do their washing, which we take for granted.

Where boys are men. If you don’t have a horse or donkey you have to walk long distances, like this boy waking with his friend behind him. It’s traditional that they wear blankets, walk with sticks and and have a hat.
