My Photo scholarship 2011 entry
Worldwide | Tuesday, November 8, 2011 | 5 photos
About 15 minutes ago I saw this scholarship opportunity posted at world nomads on facebook. I recently graduated from Rowan University with a degree in Writing, but photography has been my passion since I was 5 (literally, I carried a mickey-mouse camera around with me everywhere I went). I went to University of Hawaii for a semester and majored in the art of photography. I planned on going for the rest of my education, but a family issue came up and I was left with no money for an out of state school. I still dream of pursuing my love for photography and travel, and this scholarship would be a chance of a lifetime for me. I want to learn more about this art, more about natural light and capturing natures beauty in its purist form. The photos I chose were from my experiences in nature that simply took my breath away. Its my passion, its urging to burst out. I am drawn to the movement of water, and I found that a few of my images had a personality beyond the normal ocean that many of us see on a day to day basis. I am down to five minutes to send this entry in, and I wish I knew about this opportunity sooner so that I could spend more time writing. But since I don't, I'll end with a note that says it all: passion's in the eyes.. of the human and the camera. And i love you. I want to see some elephants in africa, i want to see the waves, i want to taste the ocean. That is all.
