Well I've been home for just over a month now. I've seen two babies christened, one friend married, another heart broken and come full circle at a funeral. Been to Mayo, Cork, back to Cheltenham, Waterford, Trim and Kilkenny. Experienced the surreal. Seen John Spillane, Liam O Maolai and discovered Shane Howard. Been on a horse and cart, got drunk with a lot of different people. Got injections, got tablets, got funny skin marks.
A busy summer you might say. And as much I've been nackered, sick, sad and hung over, I've been happy, excited, laughed ALOT and cried too.
And its been great. But its not over yet. Another four weeks to go. Another four weeks to 'get fit'. Another four weeks to cram in as much family time as possible. Another four weeks to wait for visas and start the adventure of a lifetime.
Its a rock and a hard place. I can't wait to go. I desperately want to stay. But what is there here? Nowt. No jobs, no money. Family can only help out for so long. so off I go. On an adventure. Teach maybe? travel definitely.
So keep your eye on this ball. Updates will be coming hard and fast...... first stop saigon!
