Inishbofin - Island steeped in Irish History and beauty.

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Ireland | Wednesday, January 9, 2013 | 5 photos

When I was a young girl, I entered a photography competion, I won a kodac camera. This was the start of my obsession, I always had camera in hand trying to get that shot. Unfortunatley I became a teenager etc, photography was no longer my passion. In 2012 I rediscovered my passion for photography. My boyfried helped with re-igniting the passion and he encourgaed me to pursue it again. He bought me a professional camera with various lenses as a birthday gift last year. I am a little rusty compared to that keen young child, back in the day, but my eye for things is still there. I am very fond of nature at the moment and I was on holidays in Inishbofin last year and the islands beauty was a dream to shoot. I think in 3 days I had taken 500 shots, so much natural landscape, history and beauty. I am thinking of a career change to photography and I am in the process of signing up for a course this year to enable me to learn all the tecniques so I can be the best I can be. I would love to be selected for this amazing oppertunity to go on assignment with a Nat Geo photographer & the chance to travel and see a part of the world, in what would be the most amazing eight days of my life.
