Vietnam | Monday, March 2, 2015 | 1 photos

Ingredients
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 2-3 balls of ice cream (the simplest, from a pure milk, without any additives)
- 100ml of milk
- a pinch of dried coconut shavings (can be replaced by cashew)

How to prepare this recipe
The process is very simple:
To clean and remove a peel&drupel from an avocado - > to shake up a pulp of the remaining half of the fruit ->add an ice cream, milk - > to decorate with a coconut shavings -> to enjoy your tasty and healthy cocktail!

The story behind this recipe
The story which is behind should be named as “The easiest way to reach a culinary paradise”.
I arrived in Viet Nam just before Christmas for a short-term internship I decided to take in hospitality. I hadn’t knew of how uneasy it would be to survive here as a vegetarian. As a person who don’t like spicy and seasoning too much. I struggled with local vendors for obtaining meat-free food which is in abundance here, actually! The problem? In language barrier and an absence of any electronic dictionary. And the fact that meat presents practically at any meal – hidden way, sometimes – something was boiled with meat or just tiny pieces of its was added.
In times I went out alone for a dinner or lunch I found a solution “I can’t eat meat if I do I’ll die before your eyes”. So sellers I met were terrified and preoccupied enough to make sure my meal doesn’t contain any piece of meat. Needless to say that my options for a meal outside shrunk dramatically so I used any opportunity to go out with locals for finding out new ways of feeding…Yes, my menu was extended but not very much – I still missed some food which:
- Is not very sweaty/spicy/or both
- Doesn’t contain rice
- Doesn’t contain noodles
- Wasn’t stir-fried
- Is consisted from well-digestible ingredients
This way you can’t really imagine my happiness when I found the receipt I’m going to share with you! I’ll avoid all details of the place (the local market which was shown me by locals) – smells, unsanitary, flies, crowds…It’s really better to not know all of it. But even of the mentioned above factors couldn’t temper my appetite to this delicious desert!
For enjoying the recipe you don’t need to be at the same situation as me and I hope that in your case pleasure you will get will be even higher!
Tôi mu?n b?n bon Appetit! (Vietnamese)
