My Scholarship entry - Ladakh & Spiti
India | Wednesday, November 12, 2014 | 5 photos
I was born in India but grew up in the UK after which I continued onto the United States for my higher education. Coming from a family of doctors, there was always a pressure of becoming one, if not that, at least an engineer. Well, I was on my way, heading down the path of Neuroscience while studying for my bachelors in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Montana.
Photography has always been a big part of my life and though I have not learnt it professionally I make it a point to try new methods and see what works for me while trying to capture what I want to portray to the world. I left neuroscience for my passion - Wildlife and Nature photography. This passion has slowly pushed me into becoming a travel photographer in India, doing shoots for local adventure companies etc.
Having the chance to actually learn from a photographer whose show I have watched online would be a great opportunity. It would make me a better photographer and would give me the skills and learning to apply myself better in the field. Exploring and being out there amidst Nature is a feeling that never gets old!
