Looking towards the peak of Croagh Patrick. where Saint Patrick made a pilgrimage to the peak and fasted for 40 days and 40 nights. At the end of each July thousands of pilgrims climb the holy mountain, some barefoot, some on their hands and knees (which would really suck because it's covered in scree). There is a stone abbey on top of the mountain, but it is not the stone you find on the mountain, but one found kilometres away by the bay, so the monks would have had to carry it all the way up.
