This is our first ever attempt at travel-blogging. We'll do everything on wi-fi with the boys' iTouches, if it works.
Today's our getaway day. Both Dena and I have been pretty stressed getting all the myriad details ready, but I'm sure that's nothing to fumbling through Spanish to find the one working ATM (canejo? cajero? Ah-Teh-em?) in the inhospitable Guatemala City airport in the post-red-eye fog.
Guess you can see we're a little stressed. I was at Kohls today buying socks and just the sound of two stockers conversing in Spanish took me into the cardio zone.
So why go to Antigua? Are we smashing our comfort zones completely, and, if so, can that ever be a good thing?
I'll keep you posted right here.
(...now I've got travel insurance to buy.)
