My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Australia | Friday, July 5, 2013 | 5 photos
I am Georgia Lampard. My passions are wildlife, sustainability and art, and bringing these together through the lens of my camera. I’ve studied photography for two years and moved around Australia as my dad serves with the Australian Army. Our travels have always been a huge adventure and a chance to explore. Each new place has opened my eyes to nature, people and indigenous cultures. I’ve studied Zookeeping and taken part in an animal rehabilitation program, as I love wildlife. I’m a patient person, and often find myself lying in the dirt, coaxing animals to come closer, for either medical care or a photo! My aim is to bring the world to the people, so they can find the same richness that I find through the lens. Images are more powerful than a single voice and can stir people into action. Photography not only records details and history, but can capture the uniqueness of places, people and events. I would love the opportunity to be mentored by Jason Edwards. I hope to be a photographer for National Geographic. If I can make people see how wonderful this world is, then I can make them see that it is also worth saving. Can a girl with a camera save the world? Watch this space!
