My Scholarship entry - A World of Reflections

I have loved photography since I was very young. After having had several compact cameras, I finally got a dSLR when I was 22 as a graduation gift. Owning a dSLR I started buying new gear and exploring new techniques. I always wanted to learn more and most of what I know about photography was self taught via internet and photography magazines.
My favourite type of photography is landscape. Having a great love for nature and hiking, I find peace when I’m alone with my camera in places that are hard to access. I love spending the night by a lake where I can witness stunning sunsets and sunrises.
I believe there is so much in the world to discover and hidden beauty in places not yet explored. It would be a shame to be stuck in an office job all my life. With my photography I try to express the emotions and feelings of those places and share with the world the hidden places that I am lucky enough to discover.
I strive to improve my photography and each day I feel I am learning something new. With this scholarship I would be able to learn from a professional, have a different perception of the world and learn how to capture the moment that sometimes words are not able to express.
