Just another perspective of life in the paradise called Malapascua.

I am Martin, a college student, formerly from nursing and shifted to a different course. I have been into photography for more that 5 years now. I started with Canon A640, learning by myself, mostly through experience. Even before I started photography, I have been fascinated with the natural beauty of the things that surround me. This fascination grew stronger when I got my first camera. At first I merely wanted to capture the moments. Then I got into stories and concepts. I learned to shoot photos that have a lot to tell. Since I am not that good in words, I do what I can to shoot photographs that speak for themselves on what I cannot put in words. I shoot simply because I want to capture a side of the world that is hidden from the eyes of many. It has been my dream to travel, take memorable photos, and share them with the world. But I don't want to settle with just ordinary photos. I want to capture the moments and places less seen and the roads less taken. Whenever I go somewhere, I prefer that I navigate myself around instead of having a guide since I usually love going into parts often overlooked. I love to explore and get in touch with the real essence of the places I go. Getting lost in unfamiliar places is an opportunity for me, and I try to make the most of it. I consider it an adventure and a great chance to really learn so much. This scholarship is a very good opportunity to learn from experts and at the same time to take a step closer to fulfilling one of my goals.
