Birds of Isla Holbox, Mexico

My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Worldwide | Monday, October 24, 2011 | 3 photos

I spent 9 days exploring Isla Holbox which is a small fishing village on an island in the Caribbean Sea, Mexico. Whilst here, I kayaked, snorkelled with whale sharks, went fishing and was surprised by the abundant nature that I was immersed in. There were lots of birds, fish everywhere and I even saw a crocodile! I have a thirst for adventure, a passion for travel photography, I want to explore every corner of this beautiful world we live in through my lens. I would give anything to be able to do what I love for a job! it's my dream. I enjoy telling stories that educate and inspire, I wan't to capture emotion through my photography, you know those really good ones that resonate in ones mind? I'm particularly interested in learning about different cultures and the natural environment I find that photography complements my thirst for knowledge and pushes me to form a deeper connection with my subject which in turn helps me to grow and be more aware of the world we live in.
I’m a team player with a strong work ethic, I’m very good at multi tasking, hard working and preform well under pressure. I am a very determined and passionate individual which will shine through my work!
Lastly I look forward to meeting Jason Edwards he's work is amazing! to mentored by him would be the greatest reward by its self!
