I AM CREATING THIS JOURNAL FOR THE CHILDREN WHO INSPIRED AND ALLOWED ME TO TELL THIS STORY

My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Worldwide | Monday, November 7, 2011 | 5 photos

This is a visit to Jharkhand, India., I was invited to visit Dhanbad Blind Relief Society who works to bring blind children in the main stream. During this visit when I talked to these students they were seems to be highly self motivated and do everything what a normal people do. They study, they play games and run computers, playing musical instruments. By watching there activities I realize that they can do anything what we do, the only difference would be the way of doing the things. Then Principal of this school asked me to take his photo with these students and at the same time I asked him if I could have permission to make a document on them.

What I want to tell about, through this set of photos is the story of their world which is not so different from ours the only exception is the deficiency of eyes. They are blind but full of brightness in their vision. And through this photo you can see brightness of their future.

What pushing me to submit these photos in this competition is to let every one understand and know about these children who deserves pride rather than sympathy that they are doing well in under resources. They know how to overcome with the problems.
During the session of making this document I felt my responsibility towards the society and I dedicate my life as a photographer and take resolution to photograph life and tell story which can be inspiration for someone.

This would be lifetime time opportunity to work with Jason sir on an assignment in South Africa that is a heaven for a photographer. I always try to learn something new and my talkative, adventurous and curiosity nature make me fit for this scholarship requirement.
