My handshake with the World

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Nepal | Sunday, January 13, 2013 | 5 photos

When everyone in high school was planning on which Uni to impress with their UAI score I was dreaming of becoming a person that I would love to wake up being. I foresaw what type of friends I wanted to surround myself with and what knowledge I wanted to store so that I could live my life a particular way. I knew how I was going to become that person. In my first year out of school I booked my first flight overseas to Kathmandu, Nepal. I was nineteen and going solo for one month followed by four months in Europe. I havent stopped planning O.S trips since. My friends and family would describe me as a curious old soul.
I'm 22 now and have been immersed in the World of Television. I work on sets around dudes with Steadicams and Jib's. I find still images more powerful and mystical. I enjoy the sometimes sweaty job that it is to record or capture a length and or a millisecond in time.
I am not a professional nor have I done a photography class, I am an amateur and have much work to do. We have two ears and only one mouth for a reason. I would very much like the opportunity to combine work and travel to document and address environmental changes and Global health through food and farming.
