Although originally from Texas, USA, I am currently studying international journalism and media (with a minor in sociology) at Richmond University in London, England. I have a huge passion for foreign languages and cultures and hope to be a documentarian upon graduation.
Relevant, fun fact about me: I have made friends with the cafeteria and cleaning staff at my university. Why? I talk to everyone I meet and genuinely care about people.
It is my dream to travel around the world, meeting people and getting to know their unique cultures and landscapes, as well as the struggles they face in their daily lives, so that I can document their beauty and strife through creative mediums and raise awareness of global issues, ultimately inciting positive change on an international scale.
Having this opportunity to travel the world under the tutelage of a great filmmaker would not only help me achieve my longterm dreams, but also give me the chance to hone my Spanish skills and interact with people who live within a distinct cultural context - somewhere entirely different from any place I have ever traveled or lived. I would be a valuable candidate because I am unafraid to talk to strangers on the street, who find me very approachable in return. In fact, such interactions come very naturally to me. In addition, my perspective as an outsider will allow me to more objectively document the stories Mr. Rapsey and I may come across.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration!
