we began to hate our new backyard. Which bushed us to change this feeling by discover our place from other perspective. Mohamed: Acted in several short movies such as Maxime (2006), The Porter (2011), and 18 Days: Curfew (2012)—Official Selection Festival De Cannes. Studied acting and directing at The Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. Participated in filmmaking, scriptwriting, workshops.
Omar: Directed independent short films: L`ab Eyal (Children Play) in 2009, Heta Sad (Wall) in 2011 and El Mahragan (The Festival) in 2012. Studies directing at The Higher Institute of Cinema. Attended Tshanj Arts Competition workshop, Eye On Cinema directing workshop, scriptwriting and cinematography workshops.
As filmmakers we aspire to develop our craft thorough more cultural exchange and collaboration with new artists from around the world. We hope to learn more about Brazilian society and traditions and learn more about filmmaking techniques from Trent O’Donnel. We also wish to expand our creativity and conceive of new ways to express our ideas that will positively influence our personal and artistic lives. In a short, this scholarship will give us hope.
