My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

These photos are my home, my backyard and my winter playground. Each photo represents the reason, motivation, and inspiration for me to be living in Whistler, British Columbia. Everyday in the mountains is a new experience, a new adventure, and a new opportunity.
Over the years I have formed a strong relationship with the lens of my camera. There is nothing more rewarding to me than being surrounded by a new environment to discover its secrets. My love for the outdoors and adventure is portrayed through my photographs.
I believe that the most amazing thing about a photograph is not only capturing the moment, but being able to share it with everybody who was not able to witness what I saw. Exploiting that photograph to the fullest extent of its natural colour, beauty, and meaning are extremely important.
I have a love for photography and travel. I feel that a chance to shoot with a professional photographer would give me an incredible new learning experience and a chance to hone my photography skills. I believe that my watchful eye and unique way of interpreting subjects would be an amazing asset to the team. These two testimonies coupled with my eagerness to explore and discover would make me a great candidate.
The above is my story and the reason in which I believe I should be chosen to travel to the kingdom of Bhutan with National Geographic photographer Jason Edwards.
Enjoy!
