After walking around the Bund a bit, we decided to get some afternoon tea at M on the Bund and also got this beauiful view from their rooftop terrace.

Waitan (or the Bund in English) is the waterfront section of Shanghai in the center of the city on the Huangpu River. On one side of the river is Old Shanghai and on the other side is New Shanghai. On the old side, there are lots of old buildings in various architectural styles built by the elite classes that used to live their (French, British, etc.). On the other side, is all the new style buildings, including the second tallest building in the world Shanghai Tower.

We walked through the park that Jeanette's mom grew up near called Zhongshan Park. We saw a bunch of old guys flying kites and one of them even let us try! The kites were so high up there were hardly a speck in the sky!
