Myanmar: about light and enlightment

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Myanmar | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos

Fierce defendant of visual communication, I'm not too fond of using words, and less about myself. But yes, sometimes words are needed, they may enforce an image or express an idea. So, here it comes:

Dutch by origin, living in Spain, working in marketing communications for a German Industrial company and considering myself a true world nomad - traveling whenever I get the opportunity.

I played with an analogue reflex around my 20's, was busy with career around my 30's, and getting back to my conscious & creative self since my 40's - this time equipped with a digital SLR.

Tired of the dehumanized world of multinationals and executives and shocked about the blindness, egoism and insensibility of those who have it all, I hope to contribute to a tiny piece of a better society by getting myself prepared for imagery which may open eyes of those who don't seem to see. If managing to grow myself in this field I hope to be able to make my living of it in 4-5 years.

With the scholarship I hope to get rid of bad habits, learn how to get close to people without interfering, understand better the how & what of travel photography.
