My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Worldwide | Sunday, November 6, 2011 | 5 photos

I am a engineer by studies and database administrator by profession. My goal in photography has been to always look out for a different view point thru my viewfinder. The photos included are each some of the shots i cherished taking. The tunnel shot was taken in Ooty, Tamil Nadu, on the last compartment of the only running steam engine in India. The Butterfly photo was taken at the house of butterflies in Bangalore, Bannargatta National Park. First time i saw so many butterflies in one shot. The Photo with my son playing on the tyre is my personal best. He is the reason i started taking photography seriously. Always wanted to take a close up of a tiger, which happened again in a safari at bangalore bannargatta national forest. Some of the best creatures in the world. Would love to take a Close up of each of the tigers alive today, (That would be a milestone by itself) considering there are only about 1500+ alive today. And Finally the Cloud Burst, near Neyveli in 2011. Have always been fascinated by the heavenly bodies and the urge to take photos of them, and trying to achieve the depth in each of the photos when taking skies.
