A general view of houses built in Makoko slums in Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria, October 10th, 2009. Houses in this slum are built on top of the sea using wood and iron sheets. The slum is inhibited mostly by immigrants from the neighbouring countries such as Ghana and Benin.
