My name is Matthew Tuffield and I am an enthusiastic photographer working in the small town of Bundaberg, Queensland; and as a local resident in this small town for years it is time for me to get out, start afresh and see the world. This scholarship could be my first stepping stone into a new life! My life behind a camera capturing the amazing world around is the most natural, uplifting and rewarding thing I have and ever will do. I find some paid work in weddings and portraits, but I find my true passion of photography focussed on travelling and creating stories and memories from the life that is continually growing and changing on this amazing, gorgeous planet. I have never personally had any studies in the area of photography except for the personal hands-on experience I have taught myself and it is my dream to travel and capture the world’s extraordinary beauty. The chance of experiencing this once in a life-time opportunity would be the ultimate gift and development experience I could ever hope to achieve. The skills gained and exposure of working with this scholarship would set up new future possibilities and a catalyst to move into the competitive world of photography work.
