My name is Matt, im 26 years old and currently work as a building estimator in Melbourne Australia. I have always been someone who has a passion for creativeness, I regretfully did not follow my goals when I left school many years ago and have felt like someone has been missing in my life. I took a more serious step towards photography over the past year following a purchase of DLSR (my first one). I recently completed an online course in photography and believe I have found that "spark" that has been missing all these years. I feel I am now a little obsessed with photography and love all that it has to offer, I constantly am looking for new places and adventures for my next shot, I think the trek is half the fun, I feel so independent and focused when im out taking photographs and always want to know and understand more. Im not the greatest with words and feel photography is a great way to express or tell a story about nearly anything. Unlike words a picture can be interpreted in many ways and I fell this is what make it so interesting.
I feel this scholarship is the next step to progressing my photography into something above and beyond where i ever thought i would end up.
