Hi, I’m Matt Dixon, I live in Perth Western Australia have 2 beautiful children and a loving wife. I have worked as a chef here for the last 17 years and for the past 4 years all I can think about is taking and creating photographs. What I hope to gain in being accepted to work with and alongside Jason is having someone of his talent, drive and dedication to his chosen field to mentor and guide me with my photography to help me grow as an image maker and to help me become a great visual story teller. To have the opportunity to do this in Oman with its rich ancient culture, architecture, people and nature would be an excellent opportunity not only to grow and push myself as a photographer but to also better communicate and bring an understanding of other cultures to myself and the broader community.
To get out of the kitchen and pursue photography would be a dream come true and if I was given the chance to work on assignment with Jason I would do so with without trepidation believing I would make a great companion and colleague and would strive to assist and create amazing meaningful images.
