    The park kept its most impressive jewel till the last moment. Towering shards of ice erupted from the desert floor at an altitude of 5200m. This park was a mystical landscape that made us feel alive! Views[187] The views we were presented with have been seared into our memories. Expanse upon expanse of unexplored beauty and we had it all for ourselves. The silence was deafening. Views[165] As we penetrated deeper into the unknown, for we didnt know where we were going, we came across these stunning vistas. The guanaco in this image was some of the wildlfie we encountered. Views[169] The colourful lakes at this altitude hosted a stunning amount of biodiversity; the Andean flamingo was one of the most conspicuous inhabitants. Views[193] My girlfriend and I ventured deep into the barren wilderness of Nevado de Tres Cruces NP in northern Chile.
