    The park kept its most impressive jewel till the last moment. Towering shards of ice erupted from the desert floor at an altitude of 5200m. This park was a mystical landscape that made us feel alive! by: mschutgens Views[182] The views we were presented with have been seared into our memories. Expanse upon expanse of unexplored beauty and we had it all for ourselves. The silence was deafening. by: mschutgens Views[162] As we penetrated deeper into the unknown, for we didnt know where we were going, we came across these stunning vistas. The guanaco in this image was some of the wildlfie we encountered. by: mschutgens Views[166] The colourful lakes at this altitude hosted a stunning amount of biodiversity; the Andean flamingo was one of the most conspicuous inhabitants. by: mschutgens Views[190] My girlfriend and I ventured deep into the barren wilderness of Nevado de Tres Cruces NP in northern Chile. We located this stunning lake at a breathless altitude of 4200m; we were all alone by: mschutgens Views[218]
