Unseen Utopia in Rural Bengal, India

My Scholarship entry - Visiting Borotalpada, a remote Santali village in the Odisha border

India | Thursday, July 4, 2013 | 5 photos

I began the search for my calling in photography after quitting my job in December. I like travelling, enjoying nature and people, photography & learning languages. I feel the urge from within to narrate stories & feelings through images. Images speak without words & communicate more. A better shot includes good composition. Freezing the subject in right composition adds life to it. Often these images are camouflaged in our everyday life. To make a shot alluring I experiment with different angles and scout for locations to weave the composition. Belonging to a middle class family in India has imposed many restrictions on my endeavors & quest. To devote myself to photography I have cut down all the sources of retreat by quitting my job. Learning from a veteran at the dawn of the early career of me as a photographer is fundamental as many things are still unknown to me. Besides I am healthy, hard working, love to work in team & flexible to work in extreme hard conditions. I am aware of my love for images with certainty. I will devote myself to wildlife, landscape & documentary photography, work with professionals & travel around the planet & allow people to travel through my images.
