I have a love and hate relationship with the biggest, single powerful economy on the African continent, Johannesburg otherwise known as Jozi by locals.
This is a city that is so mysterious to even itself, a city build on the sweat of miners and laborers from across the continent and beyond. So we produced a short insert to try and figure out what and where it all started.
I have been an online content producer for NEMISA/www.ndr.org and worked as an editor for NEMISA, FuzeFX and Amadelakufa here in Johannesburg South Africa. I have also produced and directed a 48 minutes documentary that was commissioned by Department of Communications. Edited over 8 documentaries for Fuzefx.
My ambition is to produce timeless work that will showcase generic african stories that will be ready to be consumed by the world. create a legacy for African filmmakers and be mentioned in the same sentence as Ousmane Sembene.
lt will mean l will rub shoulders with other film fundi's get to share their experiences and ideas. That alone will increase my pool of network. lt will open doors not only for me but for South African filmmakers
