My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I started heavily traveling around the world in the moment when in my home country people needed visa permissions to go anywhere. Most of my family and friends could and still can only dream about visiting places of this planet. That was the first reason why I took travel photography seriously. Through it I was able to feel at least for a brief moments that my family and friends are traveling with me and share the view. I am used to take photographs of strangers in the place of my visit, i found something romantic in it. After I take picture home, I will have
a whole life to dream about what is the story behind this person. This person on the photograph becomes a close friend and this is why with a camera in hand during the journeys I can never feel lonely.
For a long time I wanted to bring my photography to the next level, I am confident enough that I think have the "right eye" but sometimes I miss some technical skill or lack of equipment. Oman sounds very exotic for doing this. And I do not know anyone personally who has been there, so it might as well be me!
