My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I never thought of photography as my sharpest skill. It is, though, my most loved way of capturing and conveying each experience, each color, each sense, each sentiment, each moment worthy of sharing. Four months ago I came to Strasbourg, France. Since then I have been trying to feel this place as much as possible, visiting its every corner, tasting its every flavor, studying its past and learning its ways. I backpacked along the Alsatian vineyards, took wine-tasting lessons, witnessed the making of the characterful Alsatian cheese, went trekking on the Vosges Mountains and met with the most wonderful of people, all while trying to find myself a decent cup of coffee. But it's time for my next destination: Qufu, China, to study the martial arts.
When I left Greece I started a blog. What at first was a way of communicating soon became a stimulus, a reason for me to keep planning and living, and now I know it is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Narrate my travels the best way possible, proving that all it takes for a person to feel whole is an open mind to accept what gifts life might bring, and a way to share these gifts. For me, photography is the means to that.
