My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am a 30 year old Environmental scientist, addicted to travel, adventure and those "blow your mind" type moments. Originally from country NSW Australia, I am currently living in Germany.

Over the past 2 years I have spent considerable personal money and hundreds of hours on building a portfolio and website that I am happy with and one that I hope will begin to transform my career. My goal is to combine my scientific knowledge, photographic skills and story telling to create meaningful content with the purpose of highlighting issues of which feel strongly.

I am ready to take that next step, build my name and reputation, receive briefs, make mistakes, learn from those mistakes and gain some valuable guidance on the business of environmental photography.

I would benefit greatly by the opportunity, and believe it to a huge boost towards my goals. I'll never stop learning, and want not to emulate photographers who's work I respect, but to develop my own unique style.
