My name is Lina Collado. I am a 31-year old woman born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. My dream in life is to become a professional worldwide travel photographer with jobs documenting the beauty of our world. I really can't ask for anything else, nor can imagine myself doing anything different from that...specially being able to share my knowledge and experience from my adventures using my photographs. I have had the great opportunity to have worked every summer for the past 2 years as a trip photo leader for National Geographic Student Expeditions. Between myself and 1 or 2 other co-leaders we embark on adventures around the world with anywhere between 18-24 adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18 years old. It has been an amazing opportunity to travel to places like Greece, Italy, Costa Rica and the US (Montana / Yellowstone National Park) and teach photography while working with my dream company since I was a kid. Although it only encompasses my summer, it has been a dream come true...now if only I could do that year-round!! That is my goal.
