About modernnomads
Anna Economou
When I was young, almost at the high school, I remember myself driving with my father's old car,a dark blue peugeot, it was a secret between me and my father because my mother was always against for me driving outside at such young age. I was heading to the school to pick up my friends, and drive outside the town towards the mountains. In the ride were only girls allowed and we would drive through the villages let the car under a tree and run inside the forest with a film camera which I had just got as a present for my birthday. We were feeling as explores into the unknown and though the camera we would kept these feelings alive forever.
In my univeristy years, where I studied architerure, which would be a “safe educational path” for me, I would always have my camera with me. I would go after midnight in dark streets to capture the vitality and mystery of the night and its people, but also at old abandoned warehouses with my friends, again a girls only team,to do a “shooting” as we used to call it, with us dressed up in different ways. I graduated and then worked as an architect but my pathos for photography was always there. I moved to London and followed ny dream so I attended some classes in photography and photojournalism. I try to follow this dream no matter how hard they say it is. I am in London at this moment and seek for a job in the adventure photography industry. I love adventures and those especially where I am with friends or interesting people who share the same joy that I feel when I am close to nature.
I love being outdoors and be close to nature, with a camera on my hand capturing everything I experience.I had always a dream, to be assigned in an expedition in a remote area such as the Arctic or the Amazon, or any other remote land, like the Himalayas or threatening Volcanos and capture what I feel through this experience with my camera, I wish deeply i could fulfill this everlasting dream and make my wish come true.
