Hi, My name is Matteo. I'm Italian and I'm a foreign languages student. I've always been curious about discovering the world and places different than where I come from, thanks to my parents who brought me with them to trips throughout all Europe.
I've always been fascinated by different cultures, people, traditions, and that's the first reason why I chose to study languages.
My two major experiences abroad, first in the US and then in China, gave me a true sense of how different the world can really be. I learnt to see things from a different perspective, from the point of view of the locals. After only a couple of months I was not an exchange student anymore, but I felt like I belonged there. Leaving to go back home feeling changed and 'richer' was the most rewarding thing of all.
I always find the good wherever I go, 'cause every place has its own beauty, whether is the architecture, a typical dish, or the way people socialise.
What I learnt is that the best way to capture dialogues between different cultures is through a photograph. Pictures tell a story, a non-verbal one, but way more powerful than many novels. This is what I wanna do: share emotions through photographs.
