blueprint of the sea

under a stony ribcage blossoms tradition
and history hides in a bed of moss.
on this beach of a thousand grains
waves wash the eye of the land,
unbraid hair-
I see fish
and birds
but only for their bones
and I have never felt so-
a dog-shaped hole
leaves paw prints on dunes
destroys
a castle
dismantling fraudulent kings
graves wait inside
sun is a watery giant
how he rises each day
only to have his liver eaten out
and I would eat the remains
a wave
separated from the womb
unbraids hair
release from my grip
shells, or
fingernails
but all I see is
a New sea
