The Incurable Humanist
A collection of travel photography, domestically and abroad that captures the beauty I commonly find in simplicity, wherever I may find it.
About missmicaelirourke
My name is Miss Micaeli Rourke.
I stand for liberty, America, and a hot lunch for orphans. (Just kidding, that's a line from Hello Dolly.)
I am a lot of things including a student, a journalist, a musician, performance poet, and an incurable humanist. I have limited travel experience, but a voracious wanderlust. I was lucky enough to spend three months in Europe last year, but that is the only time I have spent outside of the US. Domestically, I've wandered and documented my adventures anywhere from San Francisco to Maine, and many places in between.
While I would like to pursue a career in journalism and politics, I understand the importance that photography plays in journalism, and that has always been the area in my field that in which I've had the most curiosity, but the least experience. I have a good eye, and a creative soul. Meeting strangers and story telling are two inherent interests of mine, and I would love the opportunity to strengthen those skills by improving my photographic skill, and my photographer's eye.
Cheers.
