Remember how you plan trips with your friends and end up 'tinatamad'? It happen to us all the time and I really hate it. So for this trip we decided to leave for Baguio the following weekend without any plans or a place to stay when we get there. "bahala na si Lord pagdating natin don.." as what my good friend Zha said. The travel to Baguio itself was an adventure. We (me and my two other friends) arrived late at the Victory Liner Cubao station and my boyfriend arrived 2 hours after us. It was Panagbenga Festival so everyone is heading to Baguio, but we got lucky and were able to get another bus after hours of being late. We arrived at Baguio at around 3 or 4am with no place to stay and no idea where to go. We walked around the Victory Liner area looking for place to stay but had no luck until we decided to take break and try the strawberry taho (ang tamis naman masyado)one of my friends asked the magtataho if he knew any place that we could stay. He brought us to Calla Lily Pension House (which looked like a really crowded ladies dorm from the outside) and since it's the festival season the charge for the transient was higher than normal (way high). We paid 3,500 for a weekend stay. The usual charge is from 250-500/night during off season. The place was nice, reminds me of my college friend's dorm room. The bathroom has a heater but is not working. So much for amenities. We took a tour of the city, but most of the time we were stuck in human trafic. The trip was exhausting but never the less fun.
We will visit Baguio again, but not during the Festival so we can enjoy the beauty of the city even more.
** more photos to come. :)
