Hello! I’m a Midwestern girl who moved to Los Angeles four years ago to follow a dream of making a creative contribution to the film & TV industry. I’ve always loved photography, from developing my own prints in a high school black & white photography class to these days, when I thoroughly document every new corner of the world I explore… and every seemingly important event… and every gorgeous sunset… and, well, the list goes on.

To pay the bills, I assist a film writer/director, but the business has been slow, and times are tough. Thanks to digital cameras, my photography habit is basically free! I’ve been using my uncle’s old camera from the early days of digital for the past few years.

I love working beside a talented, experienced creator, learning from the unique way they see this world, and letting that soak in. I hope to be chosen for this opportunity because I love to document the world we share, yet I haven’t had the resources to venture outside the U.S. I believe I have a good eye as well (or maybe two of them). I’ve never made money from photography, but people have encouraged me to try to sell my photos. I have no clue where to start! Better equipment, a new experience in a foreign land, and a week with a professional mentor would be incredibly valuable.

300 miles north of the urban sprawl of Los Angeles lies the beauty of Big Sur. A place of majesty. A place of clean, crisp air and the clear, emerald blue Pacific. A place where the mountains meet the sea.
