My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I'm a vibrant, motivated, young lady with a keen eye for photography & an addiction to travel. I’ve spent years doing what I felt I'm good at in the corporate world rather than doing what I enjoy. So I bought a Nikon D90 & enrolled into an Intro to Digital SLR course. I haven’t turned back since! Photography embraces my love of creativity & allows me to express my soul. It documents & captures more than I could ever say in words. It may not stop time, but it makes me feel like I have for a brief moment. I once heard someone say that when they joined the Police Force, that they couldn’t help but have this heightened sense of awareness of everything going on around them. I can totally relate to that, because whenever I go, I see photo opportunities everywhere! I feel driven to take better photographs because I enjoy the challenge of making myself stand out from the crowd & always aim to get shots that makes people feel intense emotion & to help people see things differently. I also want to share people's stories with the world. To win this scholarship would literally change my life. It would help me to grow & open doors for me to become a full time photographer (my ultimate goal!).
