Ingredients
2 eggs, 1/2 baking powder, 4 small cups of oil, 2 small cups of sugar, gradually add flour little. And some nuts.

 

How to prepare this recipe
Weight should not be too hard. So we mix the eggs, add oil, sugar, baking powder and flour. It is important that we make compact mass so that we can make hurmasice. We can take the nuts and make small balls in the form of a grater. We put them in the oven and bake them for about 10-15 min. When it is all over and they are cold, we pour them with 10 cups of sugar and 10 cups of water (they have to boil first and be hot).

 

The story behind this recipe
My grandmother was a real cook she make those cookies and so many other so that my mom and I are enjoying today make them too. Before, during the second world war there was shortages of everything including candys, of course.So I remember that my grandmother told me, they where enjoying in sugar. My mom sad there were all kind of recipes of sweets with sugar, like watermelon.So, this is well know recipe from bosnia. It is deep in her tradition. Today, when you want to taste something sweet and homemade, sure there will be on the table many things but one of them will be definitely - hurmasice. Or as I call them, hurme.
