My Scholarship entry - solitude in the serenity of silence

I’m a documentary filmmaker and have started my career in documentary after 2 years of photographing in different subjects. However, I’m completely aware that a documentary movie has its best communication with its audience when there is a close connection with the camera and its subject, with the least mediation. This happens when there is no gap between the viewfinder of camera and the eye. So, the camera and eye would be the same.
Unlike filmmaking, photographing with its lonely world can easily absorb individuals in the atmosphere of the context with its people and culture. This makes it possible to discover and capture very special moments of people lives. On the other hand, taking photographs in the places that one is not familiar to its language and culture can be a unique experience with the culture and people of the region, an experience in which the language of communication is the eye contact.
I hope I would find the chance to be admitted in the scholarship to gain all these unique experiences and to learn more from the atmosphere of photographing and try to fulfill it in my film experiences.
