My Scholarship entry - People of Tete

I'm a Brazilian woman born in Rio living in São Paulo for 8 years now, working in fashion. I've always been interested in cultures very different from mine and Brazil itself is full of cultural differences from region to region. This interest led me to seek out people and situations and watch them and it ended up taking me to work with fashion journalism, an area that makes me meet lots of different people, always related to a strong aesthetic.
My interest in photography began at age 15, when I won a reflex camera. I started shooting music shows and gradually learned the techniques, as an autodidact. I developed a huge passion for traveling and the camera (which is no longer the same, but still not a professional) has become my greatest companion. And that's why I'm here competing for this, because I want to start a new phase in my life, focusing on travel pictures, to join my two passions and devote more time and energy to it. I have a lot to learn and that makes me very excited! Want to assimilate as much as possible to learn more and more and hold my curiosity always high to observe what others have not observed yet, or my version of the show that everyone can see.
