A bridge in Vilnius covered in hundreds of padlocks. Not sure why though.
The suggestion from our guide today is that they celebrate people's weddings, as a symbol that they are now locked together for all time. This is especially so as there is a tradition in Lithuania that the husband carries the bride over a bridge as part of the wedding - and the bridges are quite short ones!
