My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

One of the few esteemed ‘Ogher Baba’s left in Varanasi, a Hindu ‘priest’ that amongst other traditional ceremonies, eats the flesh of the deceased, using the large tongs to crush the bones and pick the meat out of the fire. These Babas wear a necklace of human femur and Rudracksh, holy seeds from Himalayas that are said to be the tears of Shiva and contain magnetic properties that align the body and soul.

I've been curious about Hinduism for a couple of years now, and even though I try to research as much as possible I must admit I still know very little. When I came across this picture, I became intrigued by the practices of these priests, but I cannot seem to find any information at all. Could you please point me in a direction so that I can learn more about these Ogher Baba?
